This year, 2018, marks the tenth year Dr. Chen first began his practice in Bakersfield. With the goal of providing the best service to all the patients, Dr. Chen and our staff are excited to move into a brand new, state-of-art new location. Featuring some of the newest technology the orthodontic field has to offer, the brand new facility utilizes impression-less 3D real-time scanning and virtual setup, CBCT ultra low radiation X-ray machine, and a streamlined sterilization center. The technology and the new facility allow Dr. Chen to deliver cutting-edge treatment in the most comfortable setting.
Treatment Philosophy
A beautiful smile is usually the main reason to seek orthodontic treatment and the obvious benefit of braces. There are, however, many other benefits that are often overlooked. In addition to dental aesthetics, Dr. Chen emphasizes treatments plans aimed to enhance facial aesthetics, a “Face Driven” treatment plan. Designed in anticipation of the short- and long-term impacts of treatment on each patient's face and profile, its purpose is to improve function, harmonize the jaw relationship, and establish the optimal dental and gingival (gum) health.
Because no two patients are exactly alike, Dr. Chen will customize the most effective and efficient treatment to address each patient's individual needs and concerns. Utilizing the latest technology, Dr. Chen is able to move teeth more efficiently, with greater comfort while, in selected cases, reducing the need to extract teeth.
